Mission

Aid to Animals Rescue is a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization, founded in 1973, that is working to improve the life of animals in todays society.

Millions of dogs and cats are turned in to shelters and humane organizations annually. Aid to Animals Rescue works together with local shelters and humane organizations in helping homeless dogs and cats find good homes, with good people. Financial assistance and food donations are provided by Aid to Animals to independent humane groups.

Events

One of our volunteers is at the PetSmart in Northbrook, Illinois every day from 10-6. There are usually a number of cats and kittens available for adoption.

Safe Haven Wildlife Refuge - Our Purpose is to provide a "Safe Haven" (hence our name) for orphaned and injured wildlife native to Illinois. Our goal is to provide a temporary refuge. Successful rehabilitation requires us to rescue, raise, arrange for veterinary care and return the animal to it's natural habitat.
Save-A-Pet Adoption Center - Save-A-Pet is a not-for profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to finding loving, quality homes for each cat and dog in its care.
Stray's Halfway House - We are an all volunteer, not-for-profit organization dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned animals in the villages of: Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, South Barrington, and Barrington Hills Illinois. All of the monies raised by Strays Halfway House are used for the animals.
Fellow Mortals - Fellow Mortals, Inc. is a charitable corporation organized under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Our volunteer professionals provide rehabilitative care seven days a week, all year long. Fellow Mortals does not receive any funding from the Department of Natural Resources, any other government agency, or your tax dollars. Donations are the life-blood of the facility.
Hooved Animal Rescue and Protection Society - The Hooved Animal Rescue & Protection Society (HARPS) will have a triple focus: Rescue, education, and legislation. HARPS will continue to rescue animals and educate the public in the humane care of animals.
